"I have
taken yoga at various times in my life but it was
not until Rainey's class that I found it to be hugely
beneficial. The specific benefits that she brings
are her humor and compassion, her ability to devote
attention to every member of the class, and her obvious
love for life and the beauty of yoga. Her approach
is so lovely and supportive that I find myself able
to practice without anxiety about my physical limitations
or fear of injury.
It would not be an exaggeration
to say that her class has completely changed my life.
I am able to connect with others in a more compassionate,
open-minded way. The stress that is an inherent part
of my job is now completely manageable. On the physical
side, I am stronger and more flexible than I have
ever been and my famously bad posture is much improved.
Poses such as handstand that once seemed completely
out of reach are available and wonderfully empowering."

Join Denise, Rainey, and a community
of dedicated yogis in a learning experience that will
transform not only your teaching, but your life. Ideally,
the impulse to take the seat of the teacher arises
when we are so full of passion and blessings in our
own practice, that a heartfelt momentum compels us
to share these gifts. In this training, you will learn
highly effective methods to convey to others the depth
of yoga. You will learn the elegance of the Anusara
Principles of Alignment, which are unequaled as tools
to both align the physical body and charge the practice
with meaning. You will integrate the history and philosophy
of yoga, realize the miracle of the physical body,
and practice finding your own voice and inspiration
via peer teaching and skillful commentary on the teaching
of others. Special guest instructor Meg Agnew will
teach pranayama and meditation. Click

Come to where the land meets the ocean
and the ocean opens up to the endless sky. This vast
setting of natural beauty on the Pacific Coast of
Mexico will be our inspiration to explore ourselves
in new ways. We will investigate how we can locate
a ground of being that is steady and reliable like
the earth. How do we find the infinity of the blue
sky within ourselves? And how do we ride the currents
of life in such a way that our spirit can do nothing
but swell with vibrancy. We will have two yoga sessions
and three exquisite meals per day. And we will take
one day to do nothing be explore and/or rest. Our
travel days will Saturdays. Children and non-yoga
participants are welcome. Please join me for this
amazing journey.
Haramara
Retreat is one of the most inspiring places I
have ever been. It is located outside the tiny fishing
village of Sayulita, just 45 miles north of Puerto
Vallarta. They offer a tranquil, secluded and beautiful
setting in which to delve into yoga and nature as
a spiritual practice. We will practice yoga in an
open-air palapa with 360-degree views of the ocean
and rain forest. Our accommodations will include spacious
and clean cabanas with private bathrooms, open air
showers and breathtaking views. Our meals will be
vegetarian with the addition of local fish and seafood.
"Yoga with Rainey is a treat.
She weaves the physical, mental and spiritual aspects
of Yoga into a total experience. Her teaching has
brought me more ease in my body and joy in my heart."
